Sexy TV Receptionist

If you, like my mother and my next door neighbor who owes me money, liked my hub on receptionist in movies, then this hub about receptionists on TV will blow you away. Fine. Not blow you away. Maybe just make you want to read more of my hubs. Or at the very least, make you wanna finish this one.

Anyway, when I posted the hub about receptionists in movies, it gave me an idea of doing one about TV receptionists. Heaven knows there are a lot of them and they are usually on sitcoms and are extremely attractive. Two things I'm passionate about.

Doing the research for this hub, though, I realized there aren't a lot of them (only 3!) but the ones I found were awesomely cute.

1.Britney Spears in How I Met Your Mother. This one generated so much attention for reasons only people living under a rock don't know about. It received generally positive reviews mostly because people were so surprised Britney was able to pull it off. She plays a goofy medical receptionist who ends up curshing hard on the sitcom's main character, Ted. For those who haven't had the chance to sample How I Met Your Mother, it is basically about a guy in 2030 telling his kids the story about he met their mother, as you can probably guess from the title. Britney plays the role surprisingly well on this and made me laugh out loud a couple of times. I especially loved the scene when she was talking to a guy on the phone and telling him to stop shouting at her cause it makes her cry. Classic!

2.Amanda Tanen in Ugly Betty. This fabulous fashionista receptionist is played by Becki Newton and does she play her well. Amanda or 'Mandy' is Mode's receptionist and best friend to Wilhemina's assistant, Marc. The two make for TV's second funniest couple right now (see next item for the funniest couple on TV). My sister is a huge fan of this duo and watches Ugly Betty just to see Mandy and Marc pick on Betty. She knows all the funniest dialogues like:

Marc St. James: What is it girl? Someone fell down a well?

Amanda Tanen: Betty... internet dating... must mock...

3.Pam Beesly in The Office. The ultimate TV receptionist. She's cute, funny, and seems to make every guy that watches the show fall in love with her. This awesome receptionist who holds the key to my heart is played by Jenna Fischer, who was also in funny movies like Blades of Glory and Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story. Viewers of the show were teased for many seasons about the real score between Pam and her friend Jim and I was one of those who breathed easy when they finally tied the knot on one of the episodes, taking her officially off the market and changing her name to Pam Halpert. Yes, I focus on things like this making people think I don't have a life. But I do and if you check this show out, you will get as attached as me as the funniest couple on TV is also on the show: Dwight Schrute and Michael Scott.
